The School Year

We aim to teach for 180 days subject to local Iraqi holidays and other unforeseen events.

The school year is split into 3 terms: Autumn, Spring and Summer, with each term split into 2 half-terms.

We will open in the first week of September until the end of June or beginning of July.

1st September 2024 - First Day of Term for Staff only

15th September 2024 - First Day of Term for students

3rd October 2024 - Independence Day

27th to 31st October - Half Term Holiday

10th December - Victory over ISIS

19th December - Last Day of Term

7th January 2025 - First Day of Term

16th to 20th February 2025 - Half Term Holiday

6th March 2025 - Day of Tolerance

23rd March - Nowruz

27th March - Last Day of Term

13th April - First Day of Term

20th April - Easter Sunday

21st April - Easter Monday

1st May - Labour Day

8th June - Eid-AlAdha (approximate)

9th June - Eid-AlAdha (approximate)

26th June - Islamic New Year (approximate)

10th July - Last Day of Term
